So my wife and I have some decent cars as daily drivers. She has a fully loaded, limited edition Passat and I have a newer 3 series BMW. Starting with her car, we have owned it for a little over a month. It still doesn’t have plates on it and it’s been hit twice. My BMW got hit while it was parked in front of my house. Come to think of it, my wife’s 4Runner got hit parked in front of our house… And we live on a cul-de-sac!
The point I’m trying to make is, what in the hell happened to drivers?!? When did they stop paying attention and start being so damn selfish? Every day I almost get into an accident… What in the hell is wrong with people?!? And what does that say about the way they handle other aspects of their life? Do they handle their marriage with the same disregard? How about the way they raise their children?
The way that I see it, they don’t care because it doesn’t directly effect them. However, where does that leave us as a society? How is it that people have become so narrow minded? If this trend continues, there will be a dramatic wake up call in our future! So think about it the next time you feel like you don’t care about something. Why don’t you care? Is it because you really don’t have a preference or is it because you don’t think that it will effect you in any way?
